We are not offering this pup for sale as a "left over", she is our first pick/stud fee from this breeding, and we are being very selective for her permanent home. She will require a responsible, indoor/outdoor home with lots of exercise and love. Although we would prefer a hunting home, any family that can assure plenty of outdoor activity and attention would be appropriate. G French at 8 months old G

This pup's call name is "Frenchy". She was given this name by her breeder who noticed her exceptionally white nails as a small puppy (check out her baby pictures below), and compared it to a French manicure. Her AKC papers will be requesting her registration under the name "Feather Fetchin' French Fry". This light yellow female has a very playful personality and is very scent motivated. She has a no-fear attitude when entering the water, and we look forward to seeing how she uses that in her field training.

We are currently starting her on agility course work, and she is very enthusiastic should someone be interested in furthering her training in that direction. She has been kenneled outdoors enough to condition her coat for working in winter weather also. In the coming months we will be shooting over her, along with other practical field experience. Although she has little pointing instinct, she would also have no problem with pointing training if an upland hunting home wanted to go in that direction.

French was our first pick in a litter of 11 puppies, and we are very happy with our choice. She was chosen for her confident personality and intent love of finding and packing wings. She came to our kennel when she was 8 weeks old, and we have been doing our best to socialize and expose her to new things daily. Our hopes are to find her the ideal hunting home, where she can flourish and be encouraged to perform the task she was bred for.

This puppy is very healthy and has had her full series of shots, along with regular worming, chipped, and dewclaws removed. Despite being up to date on shots, and segregated from the general public during her young puppy hood, French contracted Parvovirus from an unknown source at 15 weeks old. This vaccination failure was reported, as we hope to prevent this from happening in the future. She received immediate veterinary care to prevent any irreparable damage and has completely recovered. She is now fit as a fiddle and very eager to learn.

She loves taking baths, and lounging on your lap in front of the TV. We expect her to weigh in at around 65-70 pounds when she is full grown, and she will have a lankier field build. She has a lovely tight coat, and good paw webbing. Frenchy has correct scissor bite, full dentition, and no history of ear infections, anal gland issues, seizures, EIC, allergies or thyroid problems. She has been started with basic field work, retrieving to hand and obedience.

French is currently being homed to an approved family for $700, and her fee will increase as her training, experience, and expenses accumulate. She comes with collar and matching leash, Rabies certificate and tag, AKC limited registration papers, DNA profile, Avid Chip registration papers, shot record, Science Diet puppy pack info, beginning bag of Large Breed puppy food, and a guarantee against congenital hip/elbow dysphasia/visual impairment.
